GLOUCSTER, MA (CelebrityAccess) — International Music Network (IMN) announced the hire of Rory Trainor, who will oversee bookings for the agency’s roster in the Midwestern U.S.
Trainor joins IMN after spending 7 years as a jazz agent with Unlimited Myles, but previously served as the Executive Director of The Mainstay Inc., a multi-disciplinary organization/venue in Rock Hall, MD, where he focused on booking jazz, folk, blues, world music and Americana for the 140-seat listening room.
He also did an eleven-year stint as Managing Director of Alverno Presents, the contemporary performing arts series at Milwaukee’s Alverno College, where he worked with artists such as Kenny Barron, Gretchen Parlato, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Habib Koité, and Spanish Harlem Orchestra.
Trainor holds a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Marquette University.
“We had the opportunity to strengthen our team with a veteran arts professional whose background fits perfectly in our culture. I’m excited to have Rory join us as we look to a bright future for the great artists we represent,” stated IMN Director Scott Southard.
