If you’re looking for new Lego sets to build, you might have more trouble figuring out which one to build first than picking one out you’re interested in. Over 100 new Lego sets from many of the manufacturer’s most popular franchise collaborations released this week, making August arguably the biggest month of 2024 for Lego enthusiasts. The wide variety of new releases includes building kits inspired by entertainment juggernauts such as Star Wars, Marvel, Batman, and Jurassic World. Lego’s gaming-inspired lines have also expanded, with fresh releases in the Super Mario, Animal Crossing, Minecraft, and Sonic the Hedgehog collections. To help you sort through the massive lineup of Lego new releases, we’ve put together a list of the biggest new Lego sets of the month, organized by franchise.
Unless otherwise noted, all of the links below will take you to Amazon listings. Most of the sets highlighted below are brand-new releases, but there are some former Lego Store exclusives that launched at Amazon and other major retailers this week. We’ve also included a handful of sets within these franchises that went up for preorder this month, including the highly anticipated kit based on Super Mario World and the Shadow the Hedgehog display set.
