Preorders are now live for what could be considered the coolest Lego Batmobile of all time. No, it’s not a replica of the mighty Tumbler or the West Coast Customs abomination used by George Clooney, but Adam West’s crime-fighting ride that debuted in the 1966 Batman TV series. The 1966 Batmobile will be a more in-depth build than some of the other smaller Lego Batmobiles. It comes with 1,822 pieces, and the completed build is 19 inches long. You can preorder the 1966 Batmobile at Amazon for $150.
Like the source material, this Lego Batmobile is a sleek pursuit vehicle full of bat-gadgets. It has cool bat-features like molded windshields, an openable trunk with the Bat-computer inside, a rear jet engine, and an informative plaque to complete the display. Naturally, you’ll get a Batman minifigure to put in the driver’s seat, and he looks just like the Caped Crusader portrayed by the legendary Adam West. There’s even painted eyebrows on his cowl. Unfortunately, there’s no can of Bat-Shark Repellant in this set.
This is also a big set, as after you complete it, it’ll measure 50cm in length (19 inches) and it’s 18cm (seven inches) wide.
The upcoming set isn’t the only incarnation of the Batmobile that has received the Lego treatment–far from it. Though some of Lego’s Batmobile sets are discontinued, there are still several available now at major retailers.

On the budget side, the best bang for your buck is the newly released Lego Batman 3-in-1 Gift Set. Exclusive to Walmart, this combo pack contains three Batman sets for $50 (overall value is $92). This bundle includes the Batmobile from Tim Burton’s first Batman movie and comes with minifigures of Batman and the Joker, an openable trunk, a cockpit for the minifigure, and two blasters under the hood. You can buy the set on its own for $38 (was $48) at Amazon, but the $50 bundle also includes the 1989 Batwing and a minifigure display build based on Batman Returns.
Another budget option is the recently released Batmobile from the Batman: The Animated Series, which is priced at $60. This is a nice and compact build, and it includes minifigures of Batman, Mr. Freeze, and Harley Quinn. For the absolute cheapest option, this pocket-sized Batmobile is a fun lunchtime build for just $21.60.
On the pricier end of Batmobile Lego sets, you can grab the Tumbler from the Dark Knight trilogy. It’s a very cool 2,049-piece build, but it’s also significantly more expensive than the upcoming Batmobile. Even with a 10% discount, the Batmobile Tumbler costs $244 at Amazon (was $270). but this is much pricier even when it’s on sale, as it has received a very rare discount from $270 to $244. Or for something much more affordable, this pocket-sized Batmobile is a fun lunchtime build for just $21.60.
